Kansas Monitor - April 11

Dear supporter,

As you know, we’ve spent the past few months fighting HB 2274, the medication abortion “reversal” bill. Before session ended last week, the legislature managed to pass this bill in both chambers by sticking it in a Conference Committee Report (CCR SB 67) and moving it quickly to the floor. No warning. No hearings in the Senate. Just a last-minute attempt to pass legislation targeting women’s access to health care.

Now, the bill is headed to Governor Kelly’s desk. Gov. Kelly has always been a strong supporter of sexual and reproductive health, and we need her to veto this bill. Contact Governor Kelly NOW and ask her to VETO the medication abortion “reversal” bill. You can also call the governor’s office at 785-368-8500.

Let’s remind Gov. Kelly that Kansans don’t want the government interfering in their private medical decisions. Send her a message now asking that she veto this dangerous anti-abortion bill.
