Are you a social media wizard? Do you live in the digital world? Passionate about reproductive health care and the impact elections have on your right to make decisions with your doctor? 18-29 years old? The 2016 Youth Power Summit in Kansas City will be the perfect all expenses paid weekend for you!
Spend September 23-25 with Planned Parenthood Great Plains Votes learning how to build power through digital work. As we head into November elections, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Reproductive rights, which, by the way, isn’t just a female issue, is on the line. A Supreme Court seat hangs in the balance. And racial justice and equality is at stake. YPS is a weekend long conference that will teach you how to communicate the importance of these topics to your peers.
Our awesome Youth Squad team will hold fun, interactive training sessions. You’ll work with the Youth Squad to build strategic social media tactics and a messaging boot camp that will make you a warrior in the reproductive health care world! We’ll end the weekend by putting your skills to test in an action challenge somewhere in Kansas City! Oh, and did we mention? It’s all expenses paid!
Your hotel room, travel and most of your food will be paid for. You’ll stay on the Country Club Plaza, meet other people your age from Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma and build a network of friends who will join the fight in ensuring your generation lives in a world where every person has equal access to reproductive health care.
